Today is Christmas Eve. My Italian family and relatives go to my grandparents’ house every holiday season. My ggrandparents live in a big house in the countryside. They have a large kitchen in the house. There are many fruits and vegetables on the table. There are also many bottles of wine and beer.

My mother and my aunts cook dinner. They cook some pasta and pizza. They bake a big chocolate cake, too. There’s a lot of cheese on the pizza and a lot of chocolate in the cake. They are delicious!

My father and uncles cook barbecue in the backyard. My grandparents buy too much meat every holiday. There is enough meat in the refrigerator for the whole family. My uncles cook meat with some salt and pepper. It’s perfect.

My cousins make the potato salad, but they don’t put enough potatoes. There aren’t any eggs, onions or cucumbers in their salad. It’s not very popular. It’s time to eat! There’s a lot of food on the dinner table. We need fifteen plates for the dinner. There are twenty plates in the kitchen cabinet. There are enough plates.
