What is success? What does it mean to succeed in life? And how do you become successful in your life?
When people think of success, some people think of wealth, and others think of power, relationships, good career, or maybe honor. All of these make sense. The concept of success is different for every person.
However, one thing is clear. Not everyone can have success in their lives. Success never comes easily. Most people want to achieve something great in their lives, but only a handful of people can be successful. Why? That’s because only a few people have special characteristics to succeed. Here is a list of the best characteristics of successful people.
1. Successful people think big.
One of the great Renaissance artists, Michelangelo once said,
“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark.”
This is a great quote to remember. People often decide to put aside their dreams for something more ‘realistic’ and ‘easy’. This quote teaches us the danger of such a point of view. You have to be ambitious to be successful.

Grammar Points 2 – help의 쓰임

* ‘have/make/let’동사도 ‘~하게 하다’라는 의미미로 위 표 오른쪽과 같이 사용할 수 있습니다.
예) I had her do the laundry (빨래하게 하다). / I made him smile(웃게 하다). / I let her stay(머무르게 하다).
* ‘help’는 뒤에 동사 원형과 to 부정사가 모두 올 수 있지만 보통 동사 원형을 더 많이 씁니다.

가정 용품 관련 단어들 – plastic bag, lawn mower, rug, trash can/bin, chest of drawers, bedside table, basin, silverware/cutlery
평소 일정은 현재 시제를 사용하여 표현하고, 예외 일정은 과거/현재진행/미래시제를 사용하여 표현한다.
help 는 [help + 대상 + with 명사] 혹은 [help + 대상 + 동사 원형]으로 쓴다. help 뒤에는 동사 원형과 to 부정사가 모두 올 수 있지만 보통 동사 원형을 더 많이 사용한다.
구동사 중에서는 전치사/부사를 분리하여 그 사이에 목적어를 넣어서 사용할 수 있는 단어들이 있다: turn down, take up, cut down, show off, figure out, pick up, rent out
특히 목적어가 대명사이면 항상 동사+대명사+전치사 순으로 사용된다.

9. 느낀점
이번주는 새로운 미션23 (Talk about my neighborhood)이 시작됐다. DAY187에서는 간단하게 시제에 대해 복습 후 새로운 단어들을 통해 표현을 익혔다. 그리고 DAY188에서는 help의 쓰임에 대해 공부했다. help + 대상 다음에 whit 명사 혹은 동사원형 (to 부정사도 올 수 있지만, 동사원형이 더 많이 쓰임) 으로 쓰인다. DAY189에서는 분리할 수 있는 구동사에 대해 학습했다. 구동사이지만, 붙어있지 않고 중간에 목적어를 넣어 사용한다. 붙여서 사용해도되고, 붙여서 사용해도 되지만, 목적어가 대명사인 경우에는 항상 동사+대명사+전치사로 사용한다. 그리고 마지막 (DAY190)에서는 강조해서 이야기하는 방법에 대해 크게 3가지 정도로 구분해서 학습했다. 난이도가 크게 올라가지는 않았고, 후반부에 맞는 난이도였다.
