* 생각/감정표현 동사+동명사(동사ing)

– I love/like traveling around the world. I love/like to travel around the world.

– I look forward to meeting him next week.

– I don’t feel like dancing tonight.

– I don’t mind going out on a rainy day.

– I can’t stand doing yoga everyday.

–> love/like는 뒤에 동명사와 to부정사 모두 올 수 있음! 그 외에는 모두 동명사만 가능!

* I don’t mind wasting the car.

I absolutely hate watering the garden.

I love walking on a rainy day.

DAY 212 계획/소망 말하기

* 계획/소망표현 동사+to 부정사

I plan to travel all over the world.

계획하다.

I hope to travel all over the world.

희망하다.

I want to travel all over the world.

원하다.

I’ve decided to attend the meeting.

결정하다.

I promised to attend the meeting.

약속하다.

I intend to attend the meeting.

의도하다.

—> 일반적으로 계획/바람을 표현하는 동사 뒤에는 to부정사가 옴!!

* Are you going to get married someday?

 Of course, I will get married as soon as I find it all right girl.

You can get married at any time you want.

* 상대의 허락 구하기

   네가 어제 만난 친구는 나와 같은 학교에 다녀.

* Before sleeping, I use my phone to watch Youtube.

* Yesterday my phone’s bettery was out. So I used my brother’s laptop to watch Youtube.

•  느낀점  : 이번 주에는 to 부정사를 사용하여 계획/소망을 표현해보았는데, 2024년 새해를 맞이하여 새로운 계획을 영어로 작문해보는데 많은 도움이 되었다. 🙂 주로 plan to, hope to, want to 동사를 사용하였고, 일상생활에서도 꽤 유용하게 사용할 수 있을 것 같았다. I am planning to go to Europe this summer vacation. I hope to lose more than 2kg of weight. 그리고 may/can/could로 정중하게 상대방의 허락을 구하는 표현도 익혔는데, 특히 Could I~ /May I~ 로 하는 질문은 참 격식있게 느껴져서 부탁할 때는 Can 대신에 꼭 써봐야지 생각이 들었다. ㅎㅎ May I borrow your umbrella for a while?
