I’m Jonathan Sheppard and I am a doctor. I am feeling really tired and stressed now because I have a lot of patients. I am busy every day. I usually stay home on weekends, but I go to work on Saturdays these days because the hospital is very busy. 나는 조나단 셰퍼드이며 의사이다. 나는 지금 아주 피곤하고 스트레스를 받고 있는데 환자가 너무 많기 때문이다. 나는 매일 바쁘다. 주말에는 보통 집에 있지만 요즘에는 병원이 너무 바빠서 토요일에도 일하러 간다.

Today is another busy day. I have four patients. They’re waiting in my office. Abraham is my first patient. He is 70 years old and he comes to the hospital often. He often has a pain in his back. 9. 느낀점

terrified, terribly, frightened 세 단어가 헷갈린다. 퀴즈렛 학습하기에서 어느 때보다 가장 시간이 많이 걸린 것 같다. 철자도 하나씩 빼먹기도 하니 연습만이 살 길.

역시 듣는 것이 문제다. day107 강의에서 잘못된 예시를 강사님이 얘기하는데 그 부분이 잘 귀에 들리지 않아서 수없이 반복해서 들으니 딸이 보다 못해 설명을 해 준다. Practice B도 잘 들리지 않는 문장이 있어서 결국은 교재 맨 뒤에 나와 있는 내용을 보았다. I’m calling your mother now. Please don’t call her. She is very busy today. 이 두 문장을 잘 알아듣지 못했다.

역시나 day108, Practice B도 듣기. 첫 문장 “My whole family is sick today.”에서 whole를 잘 알아듣지 못했다. 또, “My brothers are in bed because of food poisoning.” 도 알아듣기 어려웠는데, food poisoning 라는 단어 때문이었다. 교재에 나온 어휘지만 음성 강의에서 미리 듣지 않으면 듣기가 더 어려운 것 같다.
